One thing will never change in the businessmen world….Greed! It never ceases to amaze me that some people/companies especially in the Rakeback market are driven not by providing value or great service, but cold hard cash. Now, don’t get me wrong we are all in the business to make money and grow our business. But like everything in life you have to be willing to give in order to get. We have all seen tons of 2+2 and other forums posts about some shady rakeback affiliate refusing to pay players or deciding to cut their rates, and obviously this is a destructive long term strategy. Ohhhhhh Yea! I’m on a much needed vacation form work, although I got several emails from our Corporate Lawyers this morning, which they seem to think is urgent and need my attention. I’ve been reflecting back on my early days as a poker affiliate, and I’m not surprised how many people fail as an affiliate and move on after a few months or less. When you first start out as an affiliate you put in tons of hours, days, weeks, and months and usually see little in return. What keeps us going is the expectation that one day it will all pay off.
