I thought I’d make a quick post about some actual online marketing and SEO. The truth about SEO is that it’s not as hard as some people make it out to be. There are very few “big” SEO secrets. Almost everything you need to know you can find using out friend “Google”.

That being said, there are a ton of simple SEO guides, websites, and resources to check out. I will be posting some more resources in the weeks to come, but for now I found something in my old bookmarks that is perfect for people just getting into SEO and search engine marketing.

One of the best Beginner SEO guides I know of is the : 15 Minute SEO guide This is a simple guide that is intended for beginners, but this article also addressed the most fundamental issues relating to SEO. So, check it out and let me know what you think.

Also, one last quick note. I installed “Lucia’s Link Love” plugin which put “do follow” on the the comments on this blog. so, please feel free to leave me some comments and get yourself a free link. :)

Yo Randy, thanks for the link! I took your advice and SEO’ed the pages within my site and yeeeeahhhhh that was a really good idea to get on that FAST.

I’m ranking in the top 10 for at least 5 keywords in google SERPs already. I just hope I don’t get sandboxed.

Has the weather calmed down out there at all? Do you guys have power yet? I hope everything’s well… see you on Felt.

Thanks for that article Randy, as a quick FYI the links are still “no follow”.

This is hands down the best “SEO checklist” that I have come across.

I looked a bit around on the site, and actually found a couple of places where I could get some decent backlinks for one of my sites using their backling builder :-)

I have to agree that this is a nice checklist. But I always wonder why there are some many SEO guides out there. Most of the people don’t realize that you can make proper SEO with just using your brain! Just put yourself in Googles position and think about every step that makes sense to rank your site higher. If some of the big fish like Party a few years ago had thought about that they wouldn’t have lost a few hundred millions with their Google penalty.
My best SEO tip is: use your brain :)
