I think sometimes I have to slap myself to realize how lucky I am. 10 years ago I thought making 30k a years was big time! Now I wouldn’t be able to make it through a month making that kind of money. Sometimes I forget where I came from, and need to be humbled. Thankfully I have a wife and 6 kids to keep me grounded. No matter how much money I make, I’m still “Randy” or “Dad” and they could care less how much money I’m pulling in.

2009 has just been great, a ton of work but seeing years of work pay off is a feeling that cannot be put into words, it just can’t. I don’t even think I could explain how lucky I have been, my wife teases me and tells me “I’m the luckiest person she has even known”. Of course she knows you have to make your own luck sometimes.

A Little History

  • I got married when I was 16
  • Dropped out of school at 17
  • Divorced at 18
  • Was stoned until 19
  • met my wife at 20
  • Finished school at 20
  • Started College and hired into a manufacturing job at 21
  • Was on Senior Staff at that same company at 22
  • Graduated college
  • By the time I was 25 I left that job and took a position with as CEO of a Hazardous Waste Disposal Company in Memphis, TN, worked there until I was 26
  • Left and started doing Consulting for a Little Rock Law Firm which lasted until I was 28.
  • At 28 I took a Senior Staff Position with a very well known Company that has been posting records profits in the Billions even throughout the recession.

Now, if you followed all that mess above, I have made several moves which always lead me to a good spot. Some of it was risky, some was almost foolish. I have been searching for something, always needing a new challenge, always learning new skills.

I do believe in karma, destiny, zen, and all that cool spiritual stuff. Everything DOES happen for a reason. Ever problem, challenge, set back, and rewards has lead me to where I stand today. I try to give something back to people, I’ve said many many times people like Jeremy, Kaus, and Randy Ray have giving me skills to give my family financial security for a lifetime. How do you ever re-pay someone for that? These people are true friends that stick by people without motivation for personal gain. When they met me I was another silly affiliate wanting to become a baller :)

New Challenges

I still balance family life with at least 15 hours a day of work, I don’t sleep much but its worth it! My family and I are realizing the rewards of our sacrifices. Some people think I work all the time because its fun (it is) but its also because I have 6 kids who think they deserve everything lol.

I’ve opened up a new site recently, well more than one. The major one got sandboxed after two weeks which sucks ass! Thanks google hehe. Life gives you lemons……..

StumbleUpon It!

Very motivating post Randy!! Are you another affiliate with connections to the Big Blue?? (though guess that reference could be many many companies).

Hit the nail on the head with ‘you make your own luck…’ always amazes me how many hard working and dedicated people are ‘lucky’!!
