Welcome to Arkansas Gambler

Welcome to Arkansas Gambler, I'm Randy and this site is a collection of my thoughts and ramblings on pretty much every aspect of life, business, and of course Internet Marketing. I've been around long enough to know that not everyone who will ready my articles will agree with me, and that is 100% ok. My hope is that this blog will encourage people to consider things from a different point of view, and I encourage everyone to express their views via the comments section, or if you really have something to say, shoot me an email and I will allow you to post a guest article. So don't be shy, don't hold your tongue, let's here what everyone has to say.

Today is a great day for all of us that are sick and tired of our government thinking they control this country. Today tens of thousands are marching on Washington DC because they are tired of our out of control government. Read More

Ok so this is a bit of a brag post, but it is also about how hard work pays off! A couple weeks ago I was on my way to the office like most every other day. Then all the sudden a guy come flying out of nowhere across the highway and I T-Bone him at about 55 mph. I was in my grandpa’s Ford Ranger which I got when he passed away, and the dude I hit was in a big ass F-150 truck. Needless to say his truck had a bent fender and mine was totaled. Read More

This is a special guest blog post from one of the most hard working affiliates I know, Kevin (Poker69) on PAL. Kevin is a great example of a hard working affiliate that is now enjoying the rewards of all his hard work. Kevin runs too many sites to list here, but some of my favorite are Poker Bonuses and Play Roulette Online which are both great examples of how to build a website the right way! Read More

I’m struggling with a big decision, probably the biggest decision I’ve made in my life. I’ve never been one to shy away from risk, but I now have a big family and a wife that deserves nothing but the best. My decision is: To be a poker affiliate, or not to be a poker affiliate. Read More

Ohhhhhh Yea! I’m on a much needed vacation form work, although I got several emails from our Corporate Lawyers this morning, which they seem to think is urgent and need my attention. I disagree and told them I would review everything next week. :) For those that don’t know me well, I am a Poker Affiliate and I handle “Legal Affairs and General Liability” at my corporate job. I’ve been reflecting back on my early days as a poker affiliate, and I’m not surprised how many people fail as an affiliate and move on after a few months or less. When you first start out as an affiliate you put in tons of hours, days, weeks, and months and usually see little in return. What keeps us going is the expectation that one day it will all pay off. The title of this post says it all. Keeping focused on your goals will make the difference between making money and wasting money in the marketing business. Now, that’s not to say they you won’t waste money on a project that never gets off the ground, or on a website that will never make money. I’m mainly talking about focusing on the wrong things. Once again, I’m starting this post not exactly sure what I want to write about. Things have been going great with my websites, income is growing every month, and I just totally enjoy working my ass off making it happen. First off, I must give a super huge shout out to my wife, Durana, who I finally convinced to quit her job working for the state and stay home and work with me. She is writing top notch content right now for a new site I bought Poker Bonuses. So, far this has been a great decision for both of us. We are getting more done each day then I ever could alone and she is a big reason why our income has essentially double in 2009. Read More

Well, I’ve been thinking about making this post for a while. For the last few years I have been a Poker Affiliate, and in that time I learned that knowledge is power and if you choose to give up some of that knowledge you are risking making your competitors stronger. This is such a unique business because although we are all competitors, we still share information even if it may come back to hurt us one day. I am 100% sure that if it wasn’t for people like Randy Ray, Jeremy Enke, Cheryle Kaus, Brandon Berndt, etc. (I could name a dozen more friends and affiliates that have helped me) I would either be out of this business all together or struggling to make a dollar. I’m not a quitter, so I’m betting I would be among the thousands of affiliates still struggling. Read More
