Well, I have been busy with many projects since my last post, and its the middle of January and I have not posted my ’09 goals for myself.. My goals are a mix of business and personal goals which I plan of reaching.
Also, I experienced a disaster and a miracle today that I want to share with everyone. To make a long story short, my brother in law and one of my son’s dumped the fireplace ashes in the backyard and caught my back yard of fire and melted/burned my underpinning and my siding on the back and side of my house. What is amazing is:
1.That the wind was really kicking and spreading the fire
2. Our house is new and I never got around to installing an outside water line for a water hose
3. One more minute and it would have been an unstoppable fire
4. The wind shifted and pushed the fire away from our house to the road and burned itself out!
The last one is what is amazing, I was trying with everything I could to put out the fire, but with only bowls of water and nothing else, I knew when I saw this fire my house was going to burn! But the wind shifted…. So I am very lucky to have a house and lucky this happened when it did..
I’m not a huge holy roller and stuff, but I honestly think this was a warning and a blessing. Our family still has a home.. It’s hard to describe what happened today, but I’m still in shock that we did not lose our house. We live 15 miles from a fire department, had no water really, we are surrounded by brush, tress, leaves, etc. Just amazing stuff and I’m so thankful right now.. We have some damage, but nothing that cannot be fixed..
Also note, this week the “Miracle on the Hudson happened” I’ll post more on that later.
Ok, so now that i have that out of the way, let’s move on to some goals for 2009. Like I said above, these will be a mix of personal and business goals.. I talk a lot about my internet marketing business, which is my part time job right now, but pays better than most people’s real jobs.. Not bragging, just a fact and an interesting fact for anyone that does not do web marketing..
