After my last Post Networking? I decided to set a goal to refocus my efforts, set of goals, and be more serious. After a few of my “affiliate” friends chatted with me on how they could relate to my last post, I decided that I was wasting too much time not focusing on areas I could make money.

Making money is the whole reason I create and maintain my network of sites. Don;t get me wring i enjoy doing this work, but like any passion or job, it’s always sweeter when you get paid! So, the last month has been spent on setting some goals, working hard, and being creative.

I concentrate most of my site on Poker Affiliating, and as a player I have a sense on what people wants when they google for a website. They are usually looking for:

The problem is most of the websites all seem to have the same thing. So the trick is to find Something different and new.  If you try the same old stuff, you are not only costing yourself money, but you are probably wasting time!

The Online Poker business is a Multi-Billion dollar business and the competition is super strong, so to succed you need to think outside the box and make something happen! Throwing up a website with a some content won’t cut it! So, here are a few Tips for Poker Marketing:

1. Find a Niche – This is something that should be number 1 before you start a website. This will allow you to focus on an area of the market and help you build your site up. Some examples of niches are:

Just Pick one and focus on that. It will make your life a lot easier!

Content Works

So often I see new sites that are putting up lame content and many times they even steal someone else’s content. Writing content is the best way to bring new traffic. Poker Reviews, Poker News, Poker Promotions, etc. They all will attract visitors. Be sure and use phrases people will search for in the article.

Be Original

Remember to try and translate some of your personality to the website and content. There are tons of other sites out there that look and sound all the same. People are not attracted to the same old stuff. Variety is a good thing!

Set Goals

Goals are so important because it allows you to monitor your progress, and focus! Set simple goals at first like 2 pages on content per day etc. Also set goals on your financial areas because this allows you to concentrate on your “money areas”. These are the areas that will make you money and all too often people neglect these ares. They will be your review pages, promo ads, bonus pages, etc. These are there to make you money!

Ok, this post has gone too long now, I have lots more to say but I’ll save it for another post. The stuff above are some great beginning tips that will help you focus on the right areas and make some money in this business.

Now, let’s all get back to work and be productive! :)
