Wasting Time againI’ve decided to start writing this post and pick the title out as I go. I figure if I start rambling, a good post title will jump out at me. I haven’t posted in a while because… Well…. I just didn’t feel like it. between my “real” job where I work at least 50 hours a week and spend 12-14 traveling all week, and trying to build a money making internet business I just haven’t had the time.

Ok, well I just spent the last hour since the first paragraph fucking off  networking on the computer.. I’m pretty sure I’m wasting a lot of time answering IMs’, PM’s and email. This is what the last hour was like:

3am – Start writing post on the blog

3:05am – Fellow poker affiliate send me an IM wondering if I had a Rakeback calculator script

3:15am – I just spent 10 minutes searching for the script

3:20am – I  spent five minutes telling my friend that I have no idea how to install it

3:30am – I decided I needed to check some month end stats on a poker affiliate program

3:40am – Get another IM form another friend wanting to know how much it cost for custom work on my new WP site

3:50am – Just spent the last ten minutes trying to get this guy to get me a new logo made from his designer

4:00am – Back to writing the blog talking about how much I waste my time.

4:01am – I just realized I’m writing about wasting my time writing none sense.

So, I’m writing on my blog, wasting time, talking about wasting time…. ?!? Maybe I waste too much time………..

StumbleUpon It!

Wow Randy, that has to be the first time I have read a ‘meta-time-wasting’ blog entry… just had to waste a little time dropping a pointless comment to get into the spirit of things!

Cheers, Mark (mftpg)

Great post. This is pretty much how much of my day goes. One minute you are right on track, the next thing you know someone asks you a question on IM and then you talk with them for a few. Suddenly an hour has passed and you remember what it was you initially sat down to do.

It’s chaos, but some how things still manage to get accomplished.
