My New Project
I just thought I would make a quick post. I’ve been on vacation from my “regular” job as a Legal affairs director for almost 10 days. I have not been bored, but I’m ready to go back to my office. I’ve been meaning to post some pics of my office too btw, I don’t like to brag, but it really kicks ass. That;s for another post though.
The point of this post, like I mentioned in my last post is that I have finally ventured outside of the gambling niche and started my first non gaming website with my lovey sister in law Julie. She had been oging on and on about the book and movie “Twilight” adn after some thought I decided it might be cool to do a website about it.
So, the Twilight website is: Twilightgear.net and at first I thought it would be a perfect site to sell some type of Twilight shirts or things of that nature, but after speaking to my old friend Greg I signed up for an adsense account. Long story short, that was 5 days ago and now the site is over 30 pages already (thanks to Julie) and we are getting sick traffic to it. to the tune of 100+ visits a day, and we are making money from adsense. I’ve also decided to pimp some cj.com products too and see how that goes.
This site is already ranked on the first page of google for our targeted keywords and I am just amazed how easy it is to rank and SEO sites outside of gaming. Anyway, the site will be over 100 pages in a couple weeks tops, and I expect to be pulling in at least $500 a month easy soon.
This site has also inspired me to brainstorm a few more non-gaming sites and see what we can do with them. Non gaming terms are so easy to rank for, it;s like taking candy from a baby. I know not everything will be this easy, but after battling Grey hat and black hat SEO guru’s for 2 years, this is a much needed break.
My Poker sites are going good so far this month too. I found out a little grey hat trick worked very well last month, much better than expected. So, it gave me a nice revenue boost to close out 2008. I have some big goals set for 2009 and I will make that my next post. Goals are super important when you are in business for yourself and I need them more than most people so I can focus. I’m pretty sure i have some form of OCD running through my brain because I sleep like 5 hours a day and have so many ideas I cannot do them all.
One last thing, i want to give a big shout out to my buddy Greg for inspiring me to try somehting outside of poker. I plan on passing on some of my SEO knowledge that has been passed to me. Greg has some great ideas and from talking to him, I think he is a short step away from making a ton of money in 2009.
On that note, I’m posting a song that takes me back to my wannabe youth

care to expand on the little “grey hat” trick that worked so well? I would love to discuss this and some other things with ya. Shoot me an email if you have some time.
Congratulations on your success!
