Are you ready to work for nothing?

I’ve been reflecting back on my early days as a poker affiliate, and I’m not surprised how many people fail as an affiliate and move on after a few months or less. When you first start out as an affiliate you put in tons of hours, days, weeks, and months and usually see little in return. What keeps us going is the expectation that one day it will all pay off.

It’s my opinion that not everyone is capable of being a poker affiliate especially in this day and age. We have all heard the sic stories of the early days of online poker and casinos. When affiliates could use google adwords, simple landing pages, banner farms, etc and they made a shit ton of money. Also keep in mind that there wasn’t a million gaming sites then either.

No days there really is a million plus sites, simple landing pages are not effective, and you cannot use PPC. Being an affiliate is a tough and not rewarding initially. In fact becoming a poker affiliate will cost you money! That’s right, it will cost you time and money. If you still think you want to be a poker affiliate read on.

As you read above, being a poker affiliate is not a get rich quick scheme. Its actual work, hard work. All poker affiliates share this in common, none of them got to making money without sacrifice. Another thing we have in common is that we all reap the rewards. Being a poker affiliate and knowing people like Randy Ray and Jeremy Enke has changed my life forever. Both these men have been incremental in my success. I could go on and on about how these guys changed my life, but it deserves it’s own website really.

Back to the subject at hand, new affiliates need to be prepared for the challenges you will face, the work, the time you will have to invest, and the money you will have to shell out. In the end it will be all worth it! I’m set to have the first 6 figure year I’ve ever had. Just 10 years ago I will happy to have a 30k year.

All my life I felt I was destined for something bigger and better in my life. I know I would never be the factory worker type, or the sit in an office type. I wanted to live independently , provide security to my family, and have freedom to make a great life for everyone around me. This is all of our dreams right? We all want to be finacially secure right?

If you ave read all of this so far, and want to live the dream like myself and so many people I know. Then your reward is a list of some of the websites with great poker affiliate tips and Poker SEO strategies I know of. Enjoye and thank for reading!

  1. Thanks for the plug boss – you should write more man I always enjoy it. You decided yet if you’ll be at Budapest this year? If so drop me an e-mail we’ll have to meet up :)

  2. Great post Randy, posts like this are what kept me going in my first year as a poker affiliate. It was tough putting in so much time and not making much money for the first year, but in my second year I am already seeing the benefits. Any new affiliates out there, just stick with it and you will be happy in the end if you are working hard.

Randy I may hit you up on skype to do a guest blog post here if you’re interested. Cheers

  3. Good post Randy. I always get motivated when I see the results of people who’ve put in the hard graft.

  4. You are definitely right. Being a affiliate is really tough. Too bad there’s no way too profit off of casino websites from adword anymore. Made a killing back in the day.

  5. Haha, I remember back in the day when you could be successful with just a landing page. Heck, I even remember when landing an article in EZA would get you to the top of Google. Now, it’s tough!
