Affiliate Life = Good Times
I think sometimes I have to slap myself to realize how lucky I am. 10 years ago I thought making 30k a years was big time! Now I wouldn’t be able to make it through a month making that kind of money. Sometimes I forget where I came from, and need to be humbled. Thankfully I have a wife and 6 kids to keep me grounded. No matter how much money I make, I’m still “Randy” or “Dad” and they could care less how much money I’m pulling in. Read More

Enjoy The Ride
Ok so this is a bit of a brag post, but it is also about how hard work pays off! A couple weeks ago I was on my way to the office like most every other day. Then all the sudden a guy come flying out of nowhere across the highway and I T-Bone him at about 55 mph. Are You Playing The Victim?
Ohhhhhh Yea! I’m on a much needed vacation form work, although I got several emails from our Corporate Lawyers this morning, which they seem to think is urgent and need my attention. I disagree and told them I would review everything next week.
For those that don’t know me well, I am a Poker Affiliate and I handle “Legal Affairs and General Liability” at my corporate job. Read More
Are you ready to work for nothing?
I’ve been reflecting back on my early days as a poker affiliate, and I’m not surprised how many people fail as an affiliate and move on after a few months or less. When you first start out as an affiliate you put in tons of hours, days, weeks, and months and usually see little in return. What keeps us going is the expectation that one day it will all pay off. Eye on the Prize
The title of this post says it all. Keeping focused on your goals will make the difference between making money and wasting money in the marketing business. Now, that’s not to say they you won’t waste money on a project that never gets off the ground, or on a website that will never make money. I’m mainly talking about focusing on the wrong things.
